In the Registry you will see some shortcodes.  This is what they mean:-

In the Height field there will be a height displayed in numbers or a code as follows:-

LM prefix means the horse has a Life Measure

a means the horse is a Category A.  The horse is either under 5 years old or has not had an official measure, meaning it is unverified.

A means the horse's height has been verified by an official measure as 34" or under.

b means the horse is a Category B.  The horse is either under 5 years old or has not had an official measure, meaning it is unverified.

B means the horse's height has been verified by an official measure and is 38" or under.

c means the horse is a Category B.  The horse is either under 5 years old or has not had an official measure, meaning it is unverified.

C means the horse's height has been verified by an official measure and is 42" or under.

In the Status field we tell you what information we have used to base the horse's registration.  This way you can make a decision on how valid the information is.

S and D mean Sire and Dam

CA means Certificate from another breed association accepted as proof of parentage

In a new foal registration CA means that we have received information supporting the breeding of the sire and the dam - e.g a signed service certificate or stallion breeding return if the sire and dam were both owned by the same person plus copies of the sire and dam registration cards

PV means the horse has been DNA parent verified back to either the Sire or Dam.

UKN means that we have no documentation so the horse will not have a pedigree recorded

In the DNA field you will see codes that tell you who the horse has been DNA parent verified back to, if any:-

PVS means Parent Verified to Sire

PVD means Parent Verified to DAM

PV means Parent Verified to both Sire and Dam

Just a reference number means that the horse has been DNA'ed but has not been Parent Verified
